Paramount+ Beams Down To The UK In June 2022!


It’s finally happening! Paramount+’s UK & Ireland launch date has been confirmed during the Paramount Global earnings call. Today, CEO Bob Bakish has revealed the launch date for the streaming service and current home of the Star Trek Universe. June 2022 will see the rollout of Star Trek via Paramount+ in the UK! Paramount+ Beams Down To the UK In June 2022, specifically on June 22nd!

Additionally, South Korea can expect the service next month as well. However, launches in the likes of Italy, Germany, France, Spain, and Austria will follow in the second half of this year. These new details come straight from Paramount Global’s first-quarter earnings call on May 3rd, 2022.

Paramount+’s Launch Details

August 2021 saw Sky confirming it’s partnering with Paramount Global. The deal would see Paramount+ being offered to Sky Cinema subscribers. Additionally, the streaming service would be offered to Sky Q customers at no extra cost.

Paramount Global today confirmed that June 22nd is the launch date for the streaming service. Sadly it does miss the launch date of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds on May 5th. However, it will allow viewers in the UK to catch back up, before the season final of the new series.

In the UK, Paramount+ will be available online and on mobile devices. As well as a wide range of connected TV devices via the Paramount+ app. Additionally, the service is reported via broad direct-to-consumer distribution through Apple, Amazon, Google, Roku®, and Samsung, with more platforms to be announced in the coming months.

Additionally, SkyShowtime, which is a joint venture between Paramount and Sky owner, Comcast, is also rolling out further. The service will launch to a household base of around 90M people. This will launch in territories that Paramount+ isn’t launching in.

Service Pricing For Paramount+

In terms of pricing, some details have been shared for what UK viewers can expect to pay for the service. When Paramount+ Beams Down To the UK In June 2022, users can subscribe for £6.99 per month/£69.90 per annum, after a free seven-day trial. Paramount+ in the UK might launch with both its USA pricing plans.

Essential – This plan is listed as follows. “Stream with limited commercial interruptions for $4.99/month or save 16% off your monthly price with an annual plan* for $49.99/year. “. It’s worth noting these are currently on the US platform, and it is not confirmed to launch with both plans in the UK as of yet.

Premium – “Watch with no ads for just $9.99/month or save 16% off your monthly price with an annual plan* for $99.99/year”.

What Can I Watch?

You’ll have a lot of choices when the streaming service beams down. As the home of the Star Trek Universe, series from the latest Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, to Star Trek: Deep Space Nine will be available to watch. Additionally, content like Star Trek: Picard and Star Trek: Discovery will be on the platform.

Paramount+ Beams Down To the UK In June 2022 with more than 8,000 hours of content for the whole family, spanning new and exclusive Paramount+ originals. New shows like Halo The Series and much more will be available for viewers to stream.
