NEW Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 2 Trailer Confirms Enemy Return!

-

Finally, we’ve got a Strange New Worlds Season 2 Trailer. While only a teaser trailer, it reminds us that Captain Christopher Pike (Anson Mount) and the U.S.S Enterprise are coming back soon! Star Trek: Strange New World’s second season arrives on June 15th via Paramount+. The teaser trailer also confirms Captain James T. Kirk’s (Paul Wesley) return, who was introduced last season.

Strange New Season 2 Trailer Sees Klingons Return

While somewhat absent from recent Star Trek, the Klingons are back. Of course, we’ve had Michael Dorn back as Mr Worf in Star Trek: Picard Season 3. However, since Star Trek: Discovery Season 2, the Klingon species has been somewhat absent from modern Trek. Strange New Worlds Season 2 looks to correct that. The Strange New Season 2 Trailer scene features Mr Spock (Ethan Peck) drinking with Klingon warriors. Additionally, a Klingon warship can be seen in the trailer.

Season 2 Promo!

It’s been a while since the last Star Trek Day and the first glimpses of new footage with a short clip. Our first short clip showed us an episode centred around Enterprise Pilot Erica Ortegas, and Melissa Navia has talked in some recent interviews about some more Ortegas action next season!

Strange New Season 2 Character Posters!

First Contact Day, while somewhat uneventful, also saw Paramount releasing some brand new character posters for our main characters of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds: Season 2! Interestingly enough, these seem to be repeats of previous photo shoots, with Uhura’s (Celia Rose Gooding) Cadet badge replaced with an ensign badge being the only change! An interesting omission is that there isn’t a character poster for the new Chief Engineer, who was revealed to replace Hemmer (Bruce Horak), who unfortunately died last season.

We’ve already reported on a few new faces joining for season 2. We’ll have to wait and see whether these are guest stars or new crew. The biggest casting change, of course, is a new chief engineer. Hemmer sadly met his demise last season on SNW. Despite hearing a distinctive Scottish accent in the season finale, it’s not time for Scotty to arrive. Actress Carol Kane will be filling Aenar’s shoes as Pelia. And those are big shoes to fill with Bruce Horak’s Hemmer, a firm fan favourite from season 1.

The series features fan favourites Anson Mount as Captain Christopher Pike, Rebecca Romijn as Number One, Ethan Peck as Science Officer Spock, Jess Bush as Nurse Christine Chapel, Christina Chong as La’an Noonien-Singh, Celia Rose Gooding as Nyota Uhura, Melissa Navia as Lt. Erica Ortegas and Babs Olusanmokun as Dr M’Benga. And if you want –SPOILER ALERT– a few more bits of info, you can check out what we know from filming last year.

Did you like the Star Trek: Strange New Season 2 Trailer? Just yesterday did, Paramount+ announce that Michelle Yeoh will lead the Star Trek: Section 31 movie. It’s clear that the Star Trek: Universe is still expanding in the right direction, for now. Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 2 premieres Thursday, June 15, on Paramount+.
