Last week, Star Trek collectors were sent into Yellow Alert. Fanhome, which runs the current iteration of the Official Star Trek Starships Die-cast Model collection, released an update. This update stated that the Star Trek Starships Subscription collection would be closing in the United Kingdom. Essentially, this means new customers would not be able to join the collection. However, Trekies in the United States and other regions where Fanhome operates can still join the subscription journey.
Thankfully, this is not the end of Fanhome’s Star Trek collection. The company have issued a new PR Statement to put collectors at ease with the current news. You can read the message Fanhome transmitted to the Trek Central HQ below. Essentially, Fanhome always intended the Star Trek Starships Collection to be a “Limited Run” series, with defined production and subscriber capacity.
As originally communicated, availability for new customer sign-ups was always subject to stock limits. As the collection has reached its planned capacity in the UK, it is now closed there.
If you are a Subscriber, do not worry; you will continue to receive your full collections as normal, with no impact on your ongoing subscriptions. Individual Star Trek Starships remain available for purchase separately – so without a subscription – here in the UK. As a reminder, this is subject to available stock. Therefore, if there is a model you want, act fast!

Fanhome would like to clarify recent comments regarding the Star Trek Ships collection in the UK.
This collection was launched as a limited-run series with a defined production and subscriber capacity. As communicated at the time of launch, availability for new customer sign-ups was always subject to stock limits.
We can confirm that the collection has now reached its planned capacity for new subscriptions in the UK, and as a result, new customer registration has been closed. This decision reflects the successful completion of the original run as intended.
Existing customers will continue to receive their full collections as normal, with no impact to their ongoing subscriptions.
It is also important to note that individual Star Trek Ships remain available for purchase separately in the UK, and this has not changed.
We appreciate the enthusiasm for this collection and thank all fans for their continued support.
