SNEAK PEEK – Star Trek: Picard Season 3 Ep 1

-

The third and final season of Star Trek: Picard is almost here. Star Trek: Picard Season 3 Ep 1 airs this Thursday on Paramount+. However, we’ve got a preview of the upcoming episode before we watch, including new pictures and details about what Jean-Luc Picard (Sir Patrick Stewart) is getting up to with his old friends. We’ve also been given a glimpse of one of Star Trek’s newest crews.

Titled “The Next Generation”, the season Showrunner Terry Matalas wrote the premiere episode. Additionally, Doug Aarniokoski returns to direct the opening episode. Billed as one final adventure, early reviews for Star Trek: Picard Season 3 praise the writing and direction. However, the final adventure of Jean-Luc Picard and the TNG crew awaits the eyes of the fans. So, what is Jean-Luc getting up to?

After receiving a cryptic, urgent distress call from Dr. Beverly Crusher, Admiral Jean-Luc Picard enlists help from generations old and new to embark on one final adventure: a daring mission that will change Starfleet, and his old crew forever.

The Next Generation

Admiral Jean-Luc Picard is thrown back into the action in Star Trek: Picard Season 3 Ep 1. However, it seems this mystery starts with Doctor Beverly Crusher (Gates McFadden), who has become something akin to a “Doctor without borders”. Therefore, Picard enlists help from his old crew to embark on one final adventure. It’s rather fitting, considering this is the final season of Picard.

The third and final season of Star Trek: Picard reunites the cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation and stars Patrick Stewart as Jean-Luc Picard, LeVar Burton as Geordi La Forge, Michael Dorn as Worf, Jonathan Frakes as William Riker, Gates McFadden as Beverly Crusher, Marina Sirtis as Deanna Troi, Brent Spiner as Lore, Jeri Ryan as Seven of Nine and Michelle Hurd as Raffi.

Amanda Plummer will star as Captain Vadic in the upcoming season. Additionally, Todd Stashwick stars as Captain Liam Shaw, who commands the USS Titan-A. Finally, Ed Speleers stars in an unknown role. Ashlei Sharpe Chestnut stars as Sidney La Forge in the premiere episode, daughter of LeVar Burton’s “Geordi La Forge”.
