Today, Master Replicas, which recently announced a new Modern-Era Star Trek Figures line, revealed its next Star Trek merchandise project: The Star Trek Starship Library. This exciting collection combines die-cast models with reference books to provide an in-depth guide to the ships of Star Trek. Trekkies can expect to see ships from Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Star Trek: Lower Decks and even the Kelvin Timeline Films!
Each model is made of die-cast and ABS resin and is between 4 and 5 inches long. They are based on the original VFX models that were used on the shows and movies and have been carefully painted to ensure a high level of accuracy. The Starship models are accompanied by a 48-page book that provides an in-universe profile, annotated views, and an in-depth article about the ship’s origins, exploring how and why it was created, illustrated with production artwork.
The Star Trek Starship Library Collection
The display of this new Star Trek Starship Model collection is really interesting. For example, the reference book included is designed to slide into the base to create a miniature display. You can see this in the design concept images below. It should be noted that this new collection from Master Replicas appears to be pending approval from the licensor. As such, the final designs of this collection could change by the time they are delivered.
The first three models in the collection are the USS Cerritos from Star Trek: Lower Decks. This seems to be followed by the Strange New Worlds era USS Enterprise, NCC-1701. However, what is great to see is that the Kelvin Timeline USS Enterprise will also be making an appearance in the collection. Given that those films are getting further and further away, with no new one in sight, it’s always fantastic to see this era of the Star Trek Universe visited again.
The new Starships are priced at £29.99, which is quite affordable given the information you’re getting with this collection. The 48-page reference book will be quite valuable to people like myself, who love both in-universe details and behind-the-scenes information on who actually designed and created these starships.
When You’ll Get The Collection
Master Replicas has confirmed that the collection will launch in July 2025. However, for those eager to beam aboard, Pre-Orders are now open via the Master Replicas website. The Star Trek Starship Library looks to be a fantastic new collection for fans of the Star Trek die-cast model community. I hope we perhaps see some lesser known designs coming to the collection. It’s my hope that the reference book really allows us to explore new information about these galaxy-class designs.
