Let’s be honest; we’re all waiting for the Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3 release date. While Paramount+ are taking its time to share that information, it’s Warp Speed ahead for the series production team. Today is the first day of filming on the fourth season of the Anson Mount-led Star Trek series. What do we know about Strange New Worlds Season 4?
We first shared the news that Strange New Worlds Season 4 entered pre-production in January 2025. A listing in Production Weekly confirmed that pre-production on the 4th season of the series has begun. We first learned about a fourth season of Strange New Worlds in April 2024. Unfortunately, that very same news from Variety brought us the cancellation of Star Trek: Lower Decks. The confirmation of a fourth season followed the official announcement of the third season in March 2023.
Strange New Worlds Season 4 Filming Details
With filming starting March 3rd 2025, we expect it to last until the end of July 2025. The previous report from Production Weekly listed that work on Strange New Worlds Season 4 would take place between Q1 2025 to July 2025. Pre-production activities have taken up the first two months of the year. This includes setting up sets, building props and generally getting everything ready for the actors to beam down and film.
Previously, actress Jess Bush confirmed that Strange New Worlds Season 4 filming will begin in March 2025. So, it looks like the pre-production phase will take some time. This usually involves getting all the assets, like sets, costumes, and more, ready for the cast to beam down and begin work. Bush confirmed this information during an interview with PIX11 News in November 2024.
Of course, we don’t have any details on what to expect from the show’s fourth season. Ultimately, we’ll need to wait to see how Season 3 of the Pike series handles the open plot points. Still, we can expect more adventures on the USS Enterprise. Perhaps we’ll see more development towards The Original Series Enterprise crew. With Martin Quinn joining as Scotty, we’re getting one step closer to having the full TOS crew onboard the Enterprise. Many expect the series to “pass the baton” when it finally concludes.
Where Is Season 3 of Strange New Worlds
Trekkies are getting restless. Every time we share something Strange New Worlds-related, many are rightfully asking when we will see the third season of the show. Paramount+ debuted two teasers for the series last year. Both clips came from New York Comic Con and San Diego Comic-Con. However, neither confirmed when the series would be released in 2025. Currently, our estimate is that we will see it in May or June 2025. However, there is no confirmation yet.
